Power of the mind

Anyone set a Goal they have not been able to achieve?

I think we all have all experienced it, some more than others.

Research has shown that those who exercise mentally out did those who practice exercise, so how can we change in order to achieve, and how do we set a goal and get something we really want?

It depends on the power of our mind, and our mind has two levels, th conscious level and the sub-conscious level. We all like to think that we are in control consciously, the fact is that we are all controlled by our sub-conscious mind.

The sub-conscious mind is made of 4 elements: Memory, Emotion, Habits and Imagination

Here are some of examples:

Memory; such as tip of the tongue syndrome, we know the answer, we can picture, see it, feel it it but we can say it till after the event and the answer suddenly pops up.

Emotion; some people are scared of spiders or flying, something may have happened or they may have heard stories in the past and it ingrained so deeply in their subconscious and it is difficult to remove.

Habits; habits are formed everyday of our life and once formed , they are difficult to change. An example is driving. When we first learn to drive it is not easy to drive, but once we have learned how to, it becomes easier and easier , and we will react automatically when the car in front of us put the breaks on, even when we are the passenger , our right foot will still react. Another example is learning to ride a bicycle , once we've learned, it stays in our mind, and we will never forget.

Imagination; is very important to our mind, some of us may have experienced bad dream such as being chased by people , when we suddenly woke up in the middle of the night, we feel that our body react to it even it is a dream, that is reaction of our imagination. Another example we may have heard is the placebo effect on drug and non-drug treatment.

Conclusion

If we want to change to make things happen, we have to find ways to change our subconscious level, such as changing our habits, and keep doing it until ingrained into our subconscious .

We live in a world of possibilities, and a lot of people have a map of the world that something is not possible. If that is the case, because we think that it is not possible, the idea will get ejected, so it is very important to change our thinking to accept the possibilities first before we can achieve what we want to achieve.
